What is Pranayama?
Pranayama are breathing exercises which clear the physical and emotional obstacles in our body, to free the breath and so the flow of prana – life energy. Through a regular and sustained practice of pranayama, you can supercharge your whole body.
What is Meditation?
Meditation means awareness. Whatever you do with awareness is meditation. ‘Watching your breath’ is meditation; listening to the birds is meditation. As long as these activities are free from any other distraction to the mind, it is effective meditation.
This workshop will lead you on a journey becoming more creatively active in your meditation and pranayama practice. We will learn meditation teachniques and practice different forms of pranayama to lower stress and anxiety.
Workshop begins with pranayama exercises designed to focus the attention on the breath, in preparation for meditation practice to clear the mind.
You will learn how to develop a regular practice by using different techniques.
We will spend 80% of our time practicing and 20% on theory.
